As social groups and organisations continue to lend their voices against the growing number of reported incidence of rape in the country a group known as “All Ladies in Leadership” in Calabar mobilised and lend support to the battle against rape drawing attention of the public to its effect against the victims.
Accompanied by the Secretary to the State Government Barr Tina Banku Agbor and other female appointees.
The appointee’s displayed banners of various sizes with different inscriptions such as “say no to rape, rape is evil” among others, the team took its agitation to the gate of the Governor’s office Calabar and marched through major streets of the city calling for a more stringent penalty against rapist.
